David McKannan Memorial Run
5K and Fun Run
Join us in the fight against ALS
Welcome
to the third annual David McKannan Memorial Run!
This run will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, in memory of David,
an avid runner, loving father, husband and brother who lost his battle with ALS
in 2012. The 5K race course will take runners through the familiar streets of southeast Huntsville
that David ran during his youth and as a track star at Grissom
High School. This race is
open to all . . . from the serious runners to those that want to join in the
fight against Lou Gehrig’s Disease to benefit the ALS Association Alabama
Chapter.
Race Events:
The 5K starts at 8:00 AM and 1 mile fun run starts at 9:00 AM
Awards for the 5K will follow the 1 mile fun run at approximately 9:30 AM.
On-line registration closes on 26 May.
Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM.
Early packet pick-up will be available at Fleet Feet Sports Huntsville (2750 Carl T. Jones Drive) on Friday, 29 May from 10AM till 6PM.
Registration for the race will also be available at packet pick-up
Age Division and Awards
Awards for runners in the 5K run will be presented to the overall top male and female finshers and to the top male and female runners in each of the following age divisions:
0-9; 10-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+
Who do you run for?
Tribute bibs will be available to all 5K and Fun Run participants to celebrate and honor loved ones at no charge. Donations are welcomed.
